It is also one of the earliest cereal grains to be domesticated and cultivated as food with a history dating back over 10,000 years–as far back as the early Bronze Age!

Stutzman Farms

Stutzman Farms is the family owned farm in Fryburg, just south of Mount Hope that supplies us with Certified Organic granolas, flours, and other grain products.
Stutzman Farms focuses on local and organic farming, as well as the on-site mill. For 35 years they have supplied milled organic grain products.
"We offer sprouted grain to aid digestion," says Monroe Stutzman, 2nd generation owner/operator of the farm and mill. "We have many customers who follow a gluten-free diet and use our sprouted rolled oats and spelt flour. We do not bleach our flours or oats, and we do not use bromate or preservatives. If it is unhealthy, we don't carry it!"
