Sweet & Fleshy Winter Squash
From Certified Organic Farm

Butternut squash is best suited for cooked applications such as roasting, toasting, steaming, sautéing, baking, braising, and grilling. It can be sliced into rounds, wedges, or cubes and added to curries, chili, soups, stews, risotto, a filling for tacos, enchiladas, empanadas, and ravioli. It can also be diced and used in lieu of potatoes in a hash or served atop pizza and flatbread.

Butternut squash provides vitamins A, C, and E, manganese, potassium, iron, soluble fiber, and magnesium. Deep orange colored squashes such as the Butternut are also rich in beta-carotene.

Wayward Seed Farm is based in Ohio and acts as a regional food cooperative.
Wayward is allied with Second Spring Farm in MI and Clarion River Organics in PA; forming a regional organic cooperative.
As the group expands, farms will be focusing on growing crops that are best suited to their production model; this specialization optimizes resources, and increases operational efficiencies; reducing production costs while enabling the group to still offer a broad selection of products.

If you ever have a question on exactly which farm provided your delicious treat please reach out and we would be happy to provide any and all information!

We strive to continue this partnership; guided by transparency to the customers.

Busy Bee Organics

Working with over 100 food growers and producers from Ohio, our community of eaters has CAST THEIR VOTE with their fork. Each product that we eat has been sustainably raised, harvested, transported, and consumed.

Our members are constantly striving to create solutions to help restore one of the planets most fundamental, yet most corrupted systems...FOOD.

By asking ourselves and our customers, “Who Grew Your Food?”, we are partnering with both food growers and consumers, to create a sustainable model that DEcentralizes our current food system.
