Cooking Demo, Local Organic Butternut Risotto

Risotto, a classic Italian dish, features a unique short grain rice that is rich in starch. For this dish, we are using Arborio rice, renowned for its exceptional liquid absorption without becoming mushy. Pairing risotto with fresh organic local vegetables and fragrant herbs/spices makes for a wholesome comforting meal.

Use fresh Ohio produce -grown with organic practices- and the cleanest non-GMO or local products to create a satisfying and healthy meal that everyone will enjoy. Meal kits will be delivered on 12/18, 12/19, and 12/20. You will receive an email the week of deliveries with more information, including your delivery date. This cooking demo will be prerecorded and will be shared with you in a separate link on December 18th, 2024. When you receive your meal kit it will contain all the necessary ingredients and a recipe card for you to refer to. You can prepare all your produce for the recipe and click the cooking demo link when you are ready to create your meal!

Please be sure to have a 32 QT cooler, with ice packs or some frozen water bottles, placed outside your residence on the day you are to receive your meal kit if you will be away from home on your delivery day. A reminder email will be sent to you the week of delivery.

Yellowbird Foodshed specializes in produce grown within 100 miles of Columbus, Ohio. They support farms that grow organically and harvest hours before delivery! Now that's fresh!

Deliveries can only be made within a specific zone. If your home is outside of the delivery zone, you can opt to have your box delivered to your work location or you can pick up from one of our various pick up locations in Columbus Thursday-Saturday. For any location changes please email brittany@yellowbirdfs.com

Note: Deliveries can be made as late as 6pm. If you choose to have the box delivered to your work location, be sure you will be in the office the day of your delivery.
