The source
Bionaturae
Carla Bartolucci and Rodolfo Viola introduced Bionaturae to the American market in 1995. Their work brought together an interest in organic food, personal ties to Italy, and the cooking traditions they wanted to preserve.
Rodolfo had studied organic agriculture in Bologna, where he and Carla met. That background became part of a food business focused on organic ingredients and Italian recipes and techniques passed between generations.
A few dependable ingredients can go a long way in a kitchen. Start with the meal you already know how to make, whether you’re cooking for two or filling a larger pot for company. Let the shopping list follow the food you want to eat.
