Copia Farm
Caitlin and Dan met at Taranaki Farm in Australia in 2010. Both had traveled there to learn more about producing food and restoring land, coming from backgrounds in permaculture and environmental restoration.
They continued traveling, learning production techniques, and later teaching what they had learned. In 2013, they started Copia Farm, turning that shared interest in food and the condition of the land into a farming operation of their own.
It’s a farm story that starts with learning: two people comparing what they knew, seeking out other growers, and eventually putting those lessons to work together. That is a useful bit of context to have alongside a farm name. You can take an interest in the work without needing to become a farmer yourself.
