We are thrilled to bring to the US this limited edition of an age-old traditional preserve. The Rose Petal Spoon Sweet is handmade on the Greek island of Chios only once a year in June, with rose petals from the Greek Magiatiko variety. These roses are so fragrant that they are the natural choice to make a dessert from. The petals are picked in the early morning, before the summer heat strikes, and delicately cleaned before quickly preserving in a simple all-natural syrup of sugar, water, and lemon juice.
We love this rare Spoon Sweet on its own so that we can indulge in its unique, delicate taste and texture. It’s also delicious as a topping on rich, artisanal vanilla ice cream or panna cotta.
Importantly, there are no preservatives, additives, artificial flavors nor colorants.
